U Shaped Rear Seat Bed Overview

Introducing the U shaped rear seat bed with a front kitchen pod, designed for comfort and utility. It provides ample space for relaxation and can easily transform into a cozy sleeping area, making it ideal for your adventures.
The front kitchen pod includes space for a CRX50 or equivalent fridge unit and a drawer above. The worktop can be cut out for a hob sink combo unit. We can also cut a hole for sockets in the end of the unit towards the bed as seen in the photos. (please let us know if you require this).
The rear U shaped bed has twin lift up hatches on the rear section as well as access via the rear door. The right hand unit has an access door for storage. The left hand unit includes a large drawer which slides forward across the sliding door opening and also a hatch to a separate compartment which can be accessed when the siding door is open.

Materials and Specifications

This versatile bed and furniture kit is crafted from durable materials such as plain WBP plywood, lightweight furniture plywood, or black hex birch ply.
The Plain WBP Plywood will require finishing. This can be anything from sanding and varnishing, painting, oiling or vinyl wrap. If you require a natural look we recommend sealing in Osmo Poly-X clear.

Compatible with SWB VW T5 and T6 models, it may also fit other medium vans like the Ford Transit Custom; always double check measurements before purchase.

Functional Design Features

The U shaped seating offers a roomy space, perfect for accommodating a CRX50 fridge or similar units. Additionally, the front kitchen pod can be customized for hob and sink combinations. Note that cushions are not included, allowing for personalized seating options.

Lead Times

Current lead times for this unit are 2-3 weeks for Plain Ply,  3-5 weeks for Lightweight Furniture Ply & HEX.

Self Build

The kits will be delivered “Flat Packed” via courier or pallet delivery. You will require basic tools for assembly and skills to build the unit. Whilst we try to make the kits as simple as possible, it may require some modification to fit your van depending on variables such as floor height, arch insulation etc…

Kits can be assembled within a day but please allow a couple of days for assembly.
